Imagine a machine that can do math, play games, help you draw, and show you movies. That is a computer!

A computer is an electronic machine (it runs on electricity) that takes information from you, works on it, and gives you a result. It is very fast and never gets tired!

🧩 2. The Two Main Parts: Hardware vs. Software

To understand a computer, think of your own body.

A computer is a machine that helps me type, play games, watch videos, search the internet, make notes, and store information.

It takes things I give (input), works on them (process), shows the result (output), and saves my work (storage).

: I give instructions (typing on keyboard, clicking mouse)

: Computer thinks and works (calculating, searching, loading)

: Computer shows the result (screen display, printed paper)

: Computer saves data for later use (in hard disk, SSD, pen drive)

: If I type 10 + 20, the computer shows 30.

These are real things I can touch in a computer.

Examples: Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse, CPU cabinet, RAM, Hard disk

These are programs inside the computer that I cannot touch.

Examples: Windows, MS Word, Google Chrome, Games, Paint

Desktop: Big computer with a separate monitor and CPU

Laptop: Portable, I can carry it anywhere

Server: A powerful computer used in banks and companies to store data

We cannot see these normally without opening the CPU cabinet.
